ANGOLA 2 UGANDA 0



The scorer of Angola’s first goal in their 2-0 win over Uganda in Luanda, Manucho Goncalves said that the national team not give up the fight for qualification for Gabon and Equatorial Guinea 2012 Africa Cup of Nations. With one match to go and the group winner still unknown Angola can still be that team, should they win away to Guinea Bissau and result in the Uganda/Kenya match go in their favour. In the brief interview after the game with Cafonline.com, Angolan striker revealed that he was nervous at the start of the match due to the burden of responsibility, but everything changed in the second half.
 
 
Cafonline.com: What is the significance of this result for Angola?
 
Manucho Gonçalves: It was very important to win to keep the dream alive. We knew it was difficult, but we believe it would be possible to win and maintain our push to qualify still and we did just that.
 
Cafonline.com:  Still dreaming of qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea?
 
Manucho Gonçalves: Yes, I believe. We're going to fight until the end.  Angola will do it s best all the way and try to overcome the difficulties.
 
Cafonline.com:  Manucho that’s the end you always score here at stadium 11 de Novembro. Are you superstitious at all?
 
Manucho Goncalves: No I do not believe all that stuff, but I think it is a favourate goal end for me, one that l know quite well and as you said scored at before.
 
Cafonline.com:  What do you expect from the national squad in the last game in October?
 
Manucho Goncalves: The objective is always the same. Against Guinea, we will seek victory and then wait for the outcome of the Uganda-Kenya.
